Meet the 2023 Dare to Scale Cohort – Re:Gena
Let’s rewind the clock to the beginning. How did your company come to life? Was it a eureka moment, a late-night brainstorming session, or a happy accident?
I entered the field of personalized medicine and created Re:Gena as a personal cause. When I was 26 years old, I was diagnosed with cancer. After a year of chemotherapy and radiotherapy I was in full remission, however then the next challenging part of the journey began – to rebuild my health from scratch and to remain healthy and cancer-free for as long as possible. While I was building the strategy for my health, I found the field of personalized medicine and I was amazed by its possibilities and the depth of precision provided regarding one’s health. I believe that the best way to deal with cancer – and chronic diseases in general – is to put in the effort to prevent it, whenever possible, by having a personalized disease prevention strategy.
This is how Re:Gena was created and what the company stands for – the willpower to take ownership of your health and to start to proactively plan it.
Tell us about the accomplishment that makes you do a happy dance or fist pump in the air. What is your proudest moment to date?
My proudest moment in Re:Gena was when earlier this year our whole team of experts gathered into one place during the largest conference in practical dietetics and integrative medicine in Bulgaria which we organized. There, we finally all met each other in person for the first time.
In our multidisciplinary expert team, we have practitioners from the whole country that are working together to help our clients achieve their health goals. The feeling of seeing all these exceptional specialists in one place and realizing that I have won the trust of all of them was very emotional!
