Since launching the Bulgarian chapter in 2015, we’ve backed some of the country’s most successful founders and expanded our impact across the Western Balkans. As we celebrate 10 years of operations, we continue to grow our programs, team, and network – and we’re looking for an Associate for our Selection and Support team to help us identify, select and provide ongoing support to the most promising start-up and scale-up companies in Bulgaria and the region. 

 

Your Role:

In this role, you will play a key part in everything entrepreneur-facing: identifying high-potential companies in Bulgaria and the Western Balkans region and supporting their growth journey. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to help us provide best-in-class support to our founders and strengthen the Endeavor network.

We’re looking for someone passionate about entrepreneurship. Our perfect candidate believes that high-impact entrepreneurship drives the economy and changes the world for better, and is also curious and excited to engage with seasoned entrepreneurs worldwide. 

 

Responsibilities: 

Entrepreneur Selection & Support:

  • Proactively screen for potential entrepreneurs suitable for our programs, maintain and update pipeline
  • Write company overviews and detailed Company Profiles.
  • Conduct business analyses, and prepare candidates for selection panels. 
  • Work closely with entrepreneurs to identify their challenges and needs
  • Ensure their needs are met, by researching and utilizing Endeavor’s local and global network for resources (research for suitable mentors and peers) 
  • Coordinate, attend and record all mentorship sessions and meetings.

Expansion Strategy: 

  • Support the organization in its expansion effort into the Western Balkans through community outreach, pipeline generation, and ecosystem research, VC landscape. 

Open Innovation

  • Work closely with leading global corporations eager to engage with high-impact companies from the region – working together to co-develop, pilot, and scale innovative solutions.

Community Building:

  • All Hands In: The Associate will be someone who is flexible and unafraid to take on day-to-day tasks, including operational and logistical responsibilities, to ensure the success of our events and support the team wherever needed.
  • Assist in improving team operations, manage CRM, and contribute to strategic initiatives.
  • Attend networking events for lead generation and community engagement. 
  • Work collaboratively with Endeavor offices worldwide.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in business, consulting, entrepreneurship, finance or venture capital.
  • Passion for economic development and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Project management, organizational abilities, and event attendance flexibility.
