Boris Valkov

Boris Valkov is the co-founder and CEO of Lace AI, bringing more than a decade of high-impact engineering leadership to the company. Before starting Lace, he spent eight years at VMware as Senior Manager of R&D and three years at Meta AI, where he led engineering efforts behind PyTorch Distributed, one of the core frameworks powering Meta’s global AI infrastructure. His experience building and scaling complex, mission-critical systems directly informs Lace’s product vision and technical foundation. Boris holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Science and is motivated by a belief that well-designed technology can meaningfully improve how people work and communicate. At Lace AI, he channels this passion into creating AI systems that elevate customer experience, strengthen operations, and unlock growth for service-driven businesses.
