Christof De Mil

Christof De Mil holds the position of Country Team Manager of KBC Group for Bulgaria, Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of UBB, as of January 1st, 2025.

Christof De Mil embarked on his career at KBC Belgium back in 1995. His international career started in 2006 at CSOB Czech Republic as Executive Director Retail Network. He came to Bulgaria in 2011 as a member of the KBC Group Country Team and Executive Director at the first bank owned by the Belgian group in our country – CIBANK.

In 2011, he was appointed Executive Director SME and ICT, and in 2014 – Executive Director Retail Banking and Distribution, both at CIBANK. After the acquisition by KBC Group of UBB and the merger of CIBANK and UBB, In 2017, Christof was appointed Chief Financial Officer of the merged UBB, and Country CFO for all entities of KBC Group in Bulgaria. He was also the first Innovation Leader of KBC Group in Bulgaria.

Christof De Mil took up the position of Chief Executive Officer of UBB following the successful merger between UBB and Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria, which he was leading in his role as General Manager of the Integration Office between 2022 and 2024.

He graduated from the University of Ghent with a major in Economics and holds an MBA degree from INSEAD. He is fluent in Flemish, English and French, speaks Business German and has oral proficiency in Bulgarian and a basic level of knowledge in Czech language.
