Stefan Gugushev

Stefan Gugushev is a qualified solicitor with over 15 years of professional experience, the Founder and Managing Partner of Gugushev & Partners Law Office, which team’s expertise and high-quality service have been recognized by the receipt of the prestigious award “Law Firm of the Year” for 2015 and 2017. He founded Gugushev & Partners after gaining experience in other leading Bulgarian law firm. He has expertise in a wide range of legal issues – Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate and Commercial law, Finance, Energy, Tax law and International Tax Planning. Stefan is also distinguished as a Judge Arbitrator in the International Arbitration Court at the Legal Interaction Alliance, while also has been participating in numerous legal researches in relation to the preparation of comparative analysis on EU and Bulgarian legislation in the sphere of concessions and public offering of securities for the needs of Bulgarian Parliament.

Outside of the legal ecosystem, Stefan is also staying close to the business environment as a whole – he is the Founder and member of the Board of Directors of Endeavor Bulgaria and a member of the Supervisory Board of BrightCap Ventures, which is an Investment Fund funded by the European Investment Fund. He is also President of the Family Business Association – Bulgaria since 2017, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of European Family Businesses – the only organization representing the interests of European family business before the EU.

Stefan holds a Master’s degree in Law from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. During the period 2001-2002, he has covered two specialization courses respectively in American Law – Judicial Perspective with the Harvard prof. Steven Plotkin and American Business Law with the Texas University prof. Sheila Hochhauser. Furthermore, He also has a specialization in International Mergers and Acquisition from The College of Law of England and Wales.  Stefan is a member of the Association Advocates Europe, a prominent member of the Rules of Law Institute and a member of the International Bar Association, London.
