KUMIHIMO TECH CAMP
Kumihimo Tech Camp is a collaborative project by Murata Manufacturing, launched in 2022 in Japan, aimed at fostering innovation and exploring new applications for its hardware alongside forward-thinking entrepreneurs.
Powered by Endeavor, Kumihimo Tech Camp has expanded to Bulgaria and is now in its second edition. Designed to connect Japan’s top-tier hardware and engineering expertise with Bulgaria’s emerging innovators, the program provides selected companies with access to Murata’s exclusive components, along with hands-on collaboration and technical guidance from top Japanese engineers as they develop impactful, globally relevant technologies.

MURATA COMPONENTS
The unique hardware components available for selection are listed below. Participants in Kumihimo will receive product samples to validate their ideas and test their concepts. Applicants have the option to select one or more components.
Timeline
Application Period
28 May –30 July
Application period opens in May and companies will have over a month to select a component and submit their innovative use for consideration.
Selection Phase
31 July
Companies will be notified of their selection by the end of July, following a two-stage evaluation process conducted by Murata’s executives from both Japan and Europe.
Development Phase
September, 2025 – February, 2026
Participants will receive their selected Murata components and have five months to implement them into their projects, working closely with Murata engineers and Endeavor mentors to refine and strengthen their solutions.
Demo Day
February, 2026 – Sofia, Bulgaria
All participants will present their groundbreaking ideas in front of Murata Executives at Demo Day.
Award Ceremony
May, 2026 – Kyoto, Japan
The top three winning companies will travel to Murata’s global headquarters in Kyoto, Japan, where they will receive their awards and present their solutions at an exclusive Award Ceremony.
