What has been your company’s biggest achievement or milestone to date, and what impact has it had on your business?

Our journey has been full of challenges and opportunities to shine, which gave us the chance to create some very complex and interesting systems, combining hardware, software, machine learning, as well as data from a variety of third party sources, which was very thrilling to put together. For me, though, our greatest achievement is the fact that we’ve had no resignations in the last 4 years and the entire team (which has grown significantly) is just as motivated as the day we started the company, if not more. An important thing to note is that all of this was done while remaining self-funded the entire time, which of course has brought a lot of hardships for everyone, but through unity and mutual trust we’ve managed to persevere for so long. For me, this is a sign that we’ve succeeded in creating a working environment where creative and passionate people can express themselves and feel valued and understood, which was the entire reason we started the company and is a crucial cornerstone for every successful business.

What’s an unexpected or fun fact about your company or team that most people wouldn’t know?

Despite the digital aspect of our business, we hold our most important meetings in the nature away from technology. Walking together on the mountain track or next to a lake helps  our creativity solving the most challenging open topics.

What’s a piece of advice you wish you had received when you were just starting out? How do you pass this wisdom on?

For sure the most important thing we’ve learned over the years is to have multiple backup scenarios for every decision we make. Markets change, new policies are constantly introduced, people change their decision or don’t always deliver everything as promised. We’ve learned to be ready for such occasions and never be overly dependent on just a single positive outcome.
