Meet VEDA who have been providing accounting, payroll, and legal services to hundreds of tech startups and scaleups for over a decade. By living the journey with tech founders and helping them grow their companies from little ponies to full-grown unicorns, VEDA has gained valuable knowledge which they now share with many more startups from Bulgaria and the UK.

What has been your company’s biggest achievement or milestone to date, and what impact has it had on your business?

Honestly, we take great joy in the numerous small victories we achieve every day. However, if I had to highlight one accomplishment that has truly inspired us in recent years, it would be VEDA going international by successfully launching our practice in the United Kingdom.

What’s an unexpected or fun fact about your company or team that most people wouldn’t know?

The first time VEDA’s founder, Danail Koev, encountered the startup ecosystem was years ago at an event called “betapitch.” He thought it was some sort of competition for “almost” alpha-males, hence the name “beta-пич” instead of “alfa-male.” He quickly realized he was completely wrong when the competition was won by the Rangelov brothers from Dronamics. Exactly one year later, Dronamics became VEDA’s first tech startup client. And so it continues to this day.

What’s a piece of advice you wish you had received when you were just starting out? How do you pass this wisdom on?

Never start alone. “I wish I had realised from the very beginning that I needed mentors and co-founders who shared my vision. Their guidance and collaboration would have saved me many years of entrepreneurial anguish,” says Daniel.
