Meet Ivery who are building a one-seater EV designed to facilitate the needs of the online food delivery market and the courier company in the so-called last mile of delivery.
Tell us how your story began. What was the inflection point that made you realize this could become a serious business, not just an idea?
In the past 10 years, we were part of one of Bulgaria’s leading packaging factories. During this same period, we developed our on site business for vehicle modification and restoration. At one point, we acquired the necessary skills in marketing, sales, and production to confidently say that we could design and build Bulgaria’s first EV microcar. When these skills aligned with the opportunity provided by the CEO and owner of the Bulgarian branch of Dominos, we knew it was the right time to start something of our own. We were fortunate to prove the market viability of our idea for an EV delivery vehicle through the largest pizza delivery service in the world.
Share a little-known fact about your industry, product, or market that would surprise most people.
When we began exploring the micromobility market — specifically in the last-mile delivery sector — we were surprised to discover that none of the existing electric vehicles offered the combination of features we envisioned for our EV.
Our vehicle stands out with a truly compact form factor — just 1 meter wide and 2 meters long — and a single-seat design that still delivers exceptional utility. With over 500 liters of payload capacity, it even surpasses the Volkswagen Golf’s 336 liters.
Performance isn’t compromised either: it reaches speeds of up to 70 km/h and offers a range of 100 km on a single charge. Most importantly, we’re developing a battery-swapping system that allows users to instantly replace a depleted battery with a fresh one, extending the range by another 100 km without downtime. This makes our EV not just efficient, but incredibly convenient for daily urban use.
