Tell us how your story began. What was the inflection point that made you realize this could become a serious business, not just an idea?
While Nita was applying for a project at the company where Rrita worked, we found ourselves chatting before the meeting began. The conversation drifted to what we might name our own company one day. It felt natural, and a little funny, to combine the names of our pets: Gogo the dog and Ishii the cat. That’s how SHIGI was born. Without overthinking it, we secured the domain and started setting up the accounts. Nita designed the logo, and soon after, we were applying for projects and landing our first clients.
Share a little-known fact about your industry, product, or market that would surprise most people.
In the creative industry, especially in design and marketing, the best ideas often don’t come from brainstorming meetings, they come from in-between moments. At Shigi Studio, some of our strongest concepts were born while walking Gogo or playing with Ishii, cooking lunch, or voice-noting each other. Creativity doesn’t follow office hours, and that’s exactly what we love about it.
