Plamen Tsekov

Plamen is the Chairman of the Board and Co-Founder of Scalefocus.

Plamen led Scalefocus since its founding in 2012 as a CEO for 8 years, after which he shifted to a more strategy-oriented role as a Chairman. During his tenure as a CEO, Plamen’s relentless drive for customer focus and performance excellence turned Scalefocus into one of the fastest-growing IT/Software companies in Europe.

Scalefocus is a software development and digital services company that helps customers grow their business by leveraging the latest technology and top talent. Its global client base includes Fortune 500 companies and innovative startups, industry leaders in information technology, e-commerce, insurance, healthcare, finance and energy & utilities.

Prior to co-founding and heading Scalefocus as a CEO, Plamen walked the full career path from a software developer, senior engineer, quality manager and business development director in various tech companies. His background is in computer science, software development, quality excellence and effective delivery setups.

Plamen is also a Board Member at AIBEST – Association for Innovation, Business Excellence, Services and Technology – a non-profit organization representing the IT, software, services outsourcing and knowledge-driven businesses in their goal to further improve the local environment and the ecosystem, and turn the industry as major growth contributor.

Plamen holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Sofia University.
