Presenting Dare to Scale 2022 Cohort – GridBit by ADD Bulgaria
What problem does your business solve (how did you start, what was the initial motivation)?
The LV (Low Voltage) network was not designed for the challenges of the future – there is no visibility on the grid edge and utilities often operate in the dark. Yet, many changes are happening exactly on the low voltage distribution side – penetration of EVs (Electric Vehicles), solar panels, various electrical appliances, etc. These changes will create issues like inefficiency, disbalance and losses. That is why real-time monitoring and control of the LV grid is essential. GridBit offers a combined hardware and software IoT solution that will digitalize the LV infrastructure. It allows more efficient problem-solving, decision-making and planning.
Share with us the thing you are most proud of (what is the company’s most significant success up to date).
Our most significant achievement is the combination of a strong team with real market experience. Together we have conducted several projects for smart street lighting and consumption measurement at ports. Very important is our experience in product development – the team has acquired substantial experience in the field of hardware and software design, communication technology, data transmission and processing, while developing the ARISTA solutions. No less important is our customer service – a clear example of our values. All this gives us even more confidence and motivation to continue to look for expansion.
What are your expectations from Endeavor, with your participation in the program (briefly share what would be helpful and what would you like to achieve with your participation)?
“We are eager to participate in the Dare 2 Scale Program as it is a big opportunity for our team to pick the mentors’ brains on various business issues. An outside look is always valuable, especially if proven professionals in the Bulgarian scale-up community provide it. We hope to gain practical knowledge and skills – like better structuring and presenting of our ideas. Mainly we would be delighted to learn to develop a more growth-oriented mindset.”
