Startups, Scale-Ups, and Research Teams Are Invited To The Launch of A New Initiative for Innovators in the Hardware Space
TOKYO, Japan & Sofia, Bulgaria – For the first time, Murata expands its flagship Kumihimo Tech Camp outside of Japan. Murata Manufacturing, a global leader in advanced electronic materials, components, and high-density modules, has partnered with the Bulgarian office of Endeavor, the leading global entrepreneurial organization, to foster innovation by collaborating with promising startups, scale-ups, and research teams based in Bulgaria.
Kumihimo Tech Camp in Bulgaria is open to companies of all sizes and sectors, which use Murata products or have innovative ideas on how to use them. These companies can leverage Murata’s products and technological capabilities to increase their chances of successfully commercializing their ideas or establishing partnership opportunities with Murata Manufacturing. Additionally, research teams affiliated with universities and institutes are encouraged to join, offering them the unique opportunity to translate their innovative concepts into commercial reality.
On May 13, Kumihimo will be officially launched at the Orientation Day event, welcoming entrepreneurs, ecosystem leaders, and academics interested in learning more about the initiative. Orientation Day will kick off with Murata presenting their visionary insights and the driving force behind Kumihimo, setting the stage for an enlightening panel discussion on Technology Transfer. The esteemed panelists will include the Mayor of Sofia, Vassil Terziev, Milena Stoycheva, former Minister of Innovation and Growth, Hiroshi Iwatsubo, Senior Executive Vice President of Murata, and H.E. Mr. Hisashi Michigami, Ambassador of Japan in Bulgaria.
