Summer Intern: Emil Lefterov

How do we know summer is coming to an end? We have to say “bye” to our summer intern – Emo.

Emo was an essential part of the Entrepreneur Experience team over the past three months working on a variety of different projects. He comes to us fresh out of his first year of studies in the US, and we’ve now seen him off back to the States to continue on his academic journey.

Below you can read in-depth about Emo’s experience with Endeavor. And as we well know #OnceEndeavorAlwaysEndeavor. We look forward to seeing him again next time he’s visiting Sofia.

1. At the end of your three months at Endeavor Bulgaria, how would you define the Endeavor spirit in one word?

If I had to characterize Endeavor with one word it would be decisive. Everyone at Endeavor always strives to deliver the best possible outcome, whether it be founders, who naturally want to create successful companies, or the support staff at Endeavor that work hard to deliver constant support with almost everything a fast-growing startup needs.

2. What is one lesson you will be taking away from Endeavor Bulgaria into your studies and onwards in life?

The summer I spent here at Endeavor has been invaluable in terms of showing me what a positive and supportive work environment looks like. It has also been great in teaching me how to take initiative and to strive to deliver. I plan on taking this experience and finding ways to take the same sort of initiative in my academic studies and future work environments.

3. What is something you found quirky during your time at Endeavor Bulgaria?

In a way, everything. Endeavor as an organization fosters a free-spirited and creative nature in its entrepreneurs, but this also applies to staff and everyone working to create a more open, inclusive and prosperous community. It is apparent that everyone who is in some way associated with Endeavor demonstrates the highest degree of commitment to its goals and principles.

4. What are your plans moving forward?

I am going to be a sophomore next year and I plan on exploring ways to further expand my horizons. In Endeavor, there are founders from all over the world, working in all sorts of different areas and this wide scope has given me a better appreciation of just how much more there is to learn and explore, so I plan on doing just that during my time in university and I will hopefully one day have the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to maybe become a founder myself!
